MARK KLUZEK

Mark Kluzek started The Doomed Bird of Providence in 2008. In that time, he has also worked with Katie English, writing string compositions and is a part of Bellightning with Katie and JR Adams. Mark plays bass with Simon Finn‘s backing band. For Meteoric Heralds of Danger, he created graphic scores for the band to play to and during the live sessions played accordion and bass.

DREW BARKER

Drew Barker plays ukulele with The Doomed Bird of Providence but has contributed with a range of instruments over time. He has created under the title Hooray as well as I Could Do Better Than That. He also performs with ukulele collective SOUP. Drew played ukulele, melodica and bass during the live recordings for the fifth album.

JOOLIE WOOD

Joolie Wood plays violin with The Doomed Bird of Providence. She has created work under her own name as well as with Current 93, Nurse with Wound, Sun Dial, James Blackshaw and many others. She plays live with a range of bands including Simon Finn‘s band and Ukulele Ska Collective. During the recording sessions for the album she played violin.

KATIE ENGLISH

Katie English mainly plays flute with The Doomed Bird of Providence but has contributed a range of instruments over time including cello, glockenspiel and gongs. Katie creates under the name Isnaj Dui but has collaborated with a wide range of other artists including Busy Microbes, Cask, Littlebow, Silver Servants, Bellightning, The Sly And Unseen, Statues In Fog and Memory Drawings. Katie played flute during the live recording of Meteoric Heralds of Danger.

RICHARD ACTON

Richard Acton primarily plays guitar with The Doomed Bird of Providence. Richard has played with Limn in the past amongst other bands. Richard played guitar on the recording for the fifth Doomed Bird album.

IAN HOTHERSALL

Ian Hothersall has played drums with the band. He plays with a range of bands including Ukulele Ska Collective and Simon Finn‘s live band. On the Doomed Bird of Providence’s new album he played drums.

RACHEL LAURENCE

Rachel Laurence has played viola with the band and has played with a range of ensembles throughout the years including the Doomed Bird. On the new album she contributed viola to two of the shorter prelude pieces.

FLAKE BROWN

Tony Ramsay aka Flake Brown has played guitar on a number of the band’s releases. He has also released three albums as Flake Brown. On the new album he contributed guitar to a few of the prelude pieces.

SIMON FINN

Simon Finn has contributed a range of instruments to a number of Doomed Bird of Providence releases. He has, as a solo artist, released a number of albums including 1971’s Pass the Distance. He has also recorded and played live with Current 93 amongst other bands. For Meteoric Heralds of Danger he added vocals to one of the prelude pieces.
